Project description
The body’s pain modulation system regulates nociceptive signals through facilitation and inhibition, evaluated using experimental pain measurements. Which factors influence the outcome of these pain measurements, as a proxy of endogenous pain modulation, and in what way is not yet clear. This study examines the influence of such factors (e.g., cognition, physical activity, genetics) and interventions on experimental pain measurements.
