Project description

The tomato malt (Aculops lycopersici (Tryon, 1917), Eryophyidae) has increased significantly in Flemish tomato cultivation in recent years. It is currently the biggest threat to cultivation with a significant economic loss as a result. This loss comes not only from production loss, but also from increased labor costs as a result of the monitoring of tomato malt and the frequent use of crop protection products (GBM). The general objective of this LA program is the development of an integrated management strategy for tomato malt (Aculops lycopersici) in tomato cultivation based on prevention, monitoring, biological control and chemical control.
