Project description

The purpose of the study is to obtain insight in the phenomena that occur in frozen ropes that are under cyclic load an in the effect of the phenomena on their mechanical properties, fatigue and life span of the rope. The influence of ice will be studied on the macro- and microscopic level on ropes after cyclic loading in frozen conditions
