Project description

Caspase-8 and MALT1 are two proteases that are activated in parallel downstream of immune receptors. We propose an in-depth investigation of the interplay between these two proteases and their respective signaling platforms. The focus of the project will be on proteolytic cleavage of specific substrates and their effect on the ubiquitination of essential mediators in NF-kB activation.
