Project description

1) What is the nature and degree of mobility of factors of production (land, labor, capital and production rights)? Is there variation between companies and regions in? different type of production labor between wijkers and stayers, and depending on business type and region (knowledge as a factor of human captial)? 2) Why the company may or may not put stop? What happens to discontinuation with the manager and the company (land, buildings, production rights)? What are the potential problems with acquisition? What motivates farmers to borrower about companies? What is the activity of the business leaders after discontinuation (regular labor, pension, at another farm)? Grounds are leased, again commissioned by the lessor or by season lease again made available to third parties? Buildings are sold or retained, get these other functions or be it in decline? As happens with production rights? The consortium wants to work out these research on the basis of three work packages (WP) which are complementary, and each give an added value to the achievement of the set research questions: - exploratory quantitative analysis of the nature and mobility of production. - Case study about motivation, causes and effects of shifts of production. - Analysis of the motivation of business cessation and continuance and the related dynamics of production.
