Project description

Polymer composites for tribological applications contain reinforcements and solid lubricants. Since some years nanoparticles have been introduced as a lubricant. The friction and wear behavior of PEEK filled with TiO2 and ZnS will be characterized by means of small scale tribotesting Wear mechanisms will be studied on-line with optical microscopic observation and postmortem SEM analysis.
