Project description

With the WILD (WIreless Light Dosimeter) we aim at creating value by filling the gap between current continuously recording, online light sensors and the offline alternatives that offer only qualitative information on light exposure.  During this project we will develop an offline wireless light dosimeter that is free of electronics but retains the quantitative nature of light measurements. The aim is to valorize the light sensor technology through further optimization of some of the key components and the development of a prototype sensor. The prototype will allow to showcase the versatility of our sensor technology and will be included in a comparative study of light sensors for bio-engineering applications. This validation of the sensor technology will help us to identify potentially interested industries and expand the potential customer base during the preliminary market study.
