Project description

PAKs play a crucial role in pseudorabies virus US3 kinase-induced cytoskeletal rearrangements and also seem to be involved in nuclear egress. In this research project, the mechanism and biological consequences of US3-PAK activation will be unravelled. The interaction between US3 and PAKs and their role in viral spread and in the nucleus will be studied in detail.
