Project description

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare offers as many opportunities as challenges. One of the main ethical issues is how AI can contribute to support patient autonomy. This research project focuses on exploring the ways in which AI tools can support patient autonomy, with a focus on ethical considerations.

Objectives

  1. Analyze the current state of opportunities regarding AI and patient autonomy.
  2. Identify ethical challenges and opportunities that AI offers for patient autonomy.
  3. Develop recommendations for the ethical use of AI in healthcare to promote patient autonomy.

Goals

  • Insight into the perceptions and experiences of patients and healthcare providers regarding AI in healthcare.
  • Identification of key ethical issues and challenges that AI brings for patient autonomy.
  • Guidelines for the ethical use of AI in healthcare, with specific recommendations to support patient autonomy through new AI tools.
