Project description
Ascaris suum is an intestinal parasitic nematode of pigs. The larvae cause damage to the liver and lungs during their migration. In this study we intend to develop a vaccine that is directed against the invading stage three larvae of the parasite. Potentially protective antigens will be selected using antibody secreting cells from the intestinal Peyers' patches of immunised pigs.
