Project description

At present, we have identified three series of molecules exhibiting anti-invasive action at nM concentrations in a number of in vitro models against a number of cancer cell lines.

The goal of this Advanced project is to derive a package of data on these chemical series that is suitable for consideration by a partner as an opportunity to develop inhibitors of metastasis of various forms of cancer. The key question to be adressed before partnering becomes feasible is whether the mechanism exploited by our compounds is important and relevant in animal models predictive of human cancers. Answering that question consitutes the main goal of this Advanced project.
