Project description

This project implies a fundamental research program on the molecular mechanisms of necrotic cell death and the development of cellular reporter systems for carbohydrate metabolism and RIP1/RIP3 activation for RNAi and small compound library screening. As such, this platform becomes a powerful tool to identify critical nodes of the signaling network and markers for necrosis with potential diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic use in fundamental and experimental therapeutic research.
