Project description

Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a rare connective tissue disease which is characterised by serious morbidity and mortality. As nowadays certain disease modifying therapies are at hand it may be opportune to identify biomarkers which predict these clinical complications. This research proposal has the aim to investigate the predictive performance of three innovative research tools: nailfold videocapillaroscopy, laser and SSc-specific antibodies.
