Project description
The objective is to characterize the thermal and hydraulic phenomena of open-cell foam in natural convection, independent of the spatial constraints. Accurate numerical simulations will be performed on representative volumes to extract the characteristics of the foam (volume averaging technique). This will allow studying metal foam heat sinks of an arbitrary shape.
