Project description

Integrated aquaculture reduces the environmental impacts of effluents and makes the activity more sustainable. Given the importance of aquaculture in Vietnam, we aim to investigate Ulva as a model for bioremediation in integrated aquaculture. We will screen Ulva species for bioremediation purposes concentrating on local diversity, their efficiency to extract nutrients from effluents and reproductive dynamics of the species.
