Monitoring animal welfare is attracting increasing interest, both for ethical reasons and for improving productivity through the early detection of stress or diseases. Conventional monitoring methods are labor intensive and are less accurate. This study aims to monitor behavior, welfare and physiology of broiler chickens through wearable (ultrawide band and accelerometers) and implantable (Micro-HRT logger) sensors.
