Project description

This project aims to valorize the 'Support in Euthanasia Study' in which we will implement an evidence-informed practice guide on euthanasia for physicians, with the purpose of improving euthanasia practice in Flanders and Brussels. We will achieve this by carrying out three different work packages between January and December 2024: 1) refining the design of the practical guide, 2) developing a dissemination and communication strategy, and 3) implementation and securing. To this end, we rely on the expertise of a medical communication specialist and a co-creation group of 22 experts and stakeholders. With this, we aim to make the practice guide accessible and usable for physicians in their euthanasia practice, thereby enabling them to better support patients, relatives and colleague healthcare professionals throughout the euthanasia trajectory.
