Bio
I have a strong interest in topics related to biodiversity monitoring and forest ecology. I have been working on multi-taxon biodiversity analysis within European forest as part of the European Cost-Action 'Bottoms-Up'. I am especially interested in studying how forest managements practices impact biodiversity through changes in forest structure and microclimate. I have also been studying the role of tree dominance in Tropical secondary forest succession during my master thesis in Ghana under the ERC project 'Pantrop'. I am currently doing my PhD studying the potential of high resolution remote sensing (such as UAV based sensors) in biodiversity monitoring. My working under the framework of the Horizon RIA 'FOODTURE' and my task is more specifically focused on assessing the importance of semi natural landscape element within agricultural landscape for the biodiversity of different taxa using UAV based technologies.
