Bart Mesuere is a researcher affiliated with the Department of Applied Mathematics, Computer Science and Statistics. As a data scientist, he is involved with various projects.
In the Unipept project (https://unipept.ugent.be), he develops analysis tools that enable life scientists to get the most out of their -omics data in a user-friendly way. As one of the initiators of the Dodona project (https://dodona.ugent.be), he tries to get the Flemish youth into programming.
Bart teaches the courses Software Engineering Lab 2, Data Visualization, and Big Data Science within the Computer Science program.
