Evelyne Fraats is a PhD candidate at the Moral & Social Brain Lab at Ghent University, where she has been conducting research since January 2024 on the neurocognitive mechanisms of moral and social behavior in civilians and military personnel. She pursued her studies in Psychobiology and Brain and Cognitive Sciences in the Netherlands, specializing in social neuroscience and neuroimaging. She completed various internships at the University of Amsterdam, Maastricht University, and the Donders Institute. In addition to her PhD, Evelyne is active on LinkedIn, aiming to showcase the reality of research, including the goods and bads of doing research. She also contributes significantly to science communication through platforms such as In-Mind and the Dutch Brain Olympiad for high school students.
