Interplay of Theatre, Literature and Media in Performance (THALIA) aims at collective, intellectual exchange with regard to intermedial constellations of theatre, text and performance. Focusing on both contemporary performance art and history, the projects of this UGent/VUB alliance research group fit into one or more of the following research topics: (1) theatre texts and text theatricality, (2) dramaturgy, (3) (inter)mediality, and (4) performativity. These topics are investigated from the perspectives of literary studies, theatre studies, performance studies and media studies.
