Description
The Magnel-Vandepitte Laboratory is the largest Belgian research centre in the field of structural engineering and building materials. The focus covers fundamental scientific and applied engineering research, with topics ranging from materials behaviour at microscopic and sub-microscopic scale to structural behaviour and structural reliability on large scale, considering different materials (concrete, steel, glass, composites …) and the interaction between such materials, and considering the effect of different mechanical and environmental actions including the interaction with fire.
