Description
The interdisciplinary imec research group for Media, Innovation and Contemporary Technologies (mict) is part of the department of Communication Sciences (Faculty of Political & Social Scriences) and the department of Industrial Systems Engineering and Product Design (Faculty of Engineering & Architecture) at Ghent University and the research group Product Development at the University of Antwerp. The research group has the mission to empower people in a digitizing society. We study and shape how humans, society and technology interact, to inspire people, organisations and policymakers in creating more sustainable futures. The research group is based in De Krook, the epicenter of digital media innovation in Flanders. The architectural hotspot is a bustling meeting place between science, digital technology, entrepreneurship, media, culture and arts.
