The main goal of this structural partnership is to ensure the safety and well-being of children, minors and vulnerable groups in sport through research on effective prevention and intervention, while also supporting the motivation and development of athletes. In this ambition, the expertise of both research teams are complementary: the internationally recognized expertise on interpersonal violence in sport of Thomas More together with the extensive expertise of UGent on motivational coaching creates a synergy that leads to safer sports and better performance.
