Description
The Center for Lacanian Psychoanalysis (CLaP) is an academic center of expertise dedicated to the study of psychoanalysis, with a specific focus on Lacanian theory development.
We conduct both fundamental and applied research on clinical and cultural themes, primarily employing conceptual and qualitative research methods. Special attention is given to the study of subjective experiences of psychopathology and therapeutic interventions, as well as to emancipatory clinical work with socially vulnerable groups. In doing so, we connect psychoanalysis with other theoretical frameworks, such as phenomenology, and research fields, such as psychotherapy.
Additionally, CLaP provides education, training, publications, and consultancy on psychoanalysis and its applications in assessment, therapy, and art and cultural critique.
