Description
The GLORIA-Gezondheidsmonitor is a pioneering large-scale Belgian population cohort designed to explore the unique interplay between genetics and environment (GxE) and its influence on age-related health outcomes. This 20-year longitudinal study involves 20,000 participants aged over 45 years from representative districts in Ghent. The core facility supports a sustainable data infrastructure, integrating (meta)data, physical examination results, and biological samples. By leveraging this extensive biobank and comprehensive dataset, the core facility serves as a cornerstone for advancing research on healthy aging, fostering innovation in the European research landscape and beyond.
