Description
Thermofluids is a branch of science and engineering encompassing four intersecting fields: heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and combustion. These are at the heart of many core processes and machines, such as heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, thermal engines, energy conversion or recovery or storage devices. Such processes and machines are essential elements of sustainable energy systems. The STFES group's mission is to provide excellent education, world-class research and expert knowledge in thermofluids engineering for industry, transportation, and the built environment.
