Description
The Center for the Study of Christian Traditions is a research platform through which Ghent University researchers working on any Christian tradition, be it ancient, medieval or modern, be it Catholic, Protestant or Orthodox can come into contact witheach other. These researchers study Christian traditions in different departments, using different methodologies: this can be linguistic research on Christian languages (Greek, Latin, Syriac, Russian,...), literary approaches to Christian religious texts, history, art history, archaeology, philosophy, comparative religious studies, or other approaches. The Center also organizes a lecture-series for the general public in which the researchers present their research and invite other specialists on a given topic. Further information on the researchers and their activities, topics and approaches can be found on the CSCT website.
