Description
The interdisciplinary South Asia Network Ghent (SANGH) offers a platform for interaction between researchers working on South Asia. It focuses on varied aspects of South Asian society and culture: its rich literary history, its diverse religious traditions, its numerous languages, its rapid developments in cinema and performing arts, etc. Studies address both historical and contemporary issues, from local as well as transnational perspectives, using diverse research methods and theoretical backgrounds of the humanities and social sciences. Much attention is paid to primary sources, particularly in Sanskrit and Hindi.
