Henri Pirenne Institute for Medieval Studies - Department of History (HPIMSDH) is the group name for the researchers of the Department of History involved in the study of medieval society and culture. Their research covers a broad range of interests, including diplomatics and palaeography, socio-economic processes and the study of medieval landscapes, religious culture and society, gender, ritual, institutional history and state formation, political ideology and discourse, and the development of Digital Humanities-applications.
