Description
The research group Centre for the Study of 19th-Century Literature (CEL19) brings together scholars from different sections of the Department of Literary Studies who are working on nineteenth-century literature. Its aim is to foster collaborations in comparative research across linguistic and cultural borders in order to contribute to a better understanding of the international relevance of major events in literary and cultural history. This research group also functions as a platform from whence toliaise with scholars working in nineteenth century studies at other institutions, both in Belgium and abroad.
