Description
The laboratory of General Biochemistry and Physical Pharmacy belongs to the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ghent University ans is heated by prof. Stefaan De Smedt. It hosts the Ghent Research Group on Nanomedicines and the Biophotonic ResearchGroup (BRG). The Ghent Research Group on Nanomedicines focuses on the development of nanomaterial concepts ('nanomedicines') for the in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo delivery of bio-therapeutics to specific target tissues in the body. Research at the BRG focuses on the use of light and nanotechnology for drug delivery and biomedical diagnostics.
