Description
This research unit focuses on technology-enhanced instruction (electronic learning environments, the use of technological tools) and innovative instructional strategies and assessment (e.g., peer assessment and peer feedback). Central in our research is the design, implementation and evaluation of learning environments in authentic classroom settings, with a focus on the impact on motivation, (inquiry) skills and knowledge construction, as well as the question under which conditions these learningenvironments can be implemented most effectively using quasi-experimental research. In this research group, research is being conducted via multidisciplinary teams in which PhD students, post-doctoral associates and a tenured faculty member cooperate, by which their theoretical and methodological expertise is brought together.
