Description

The plant growth chambers on Campus Proeftuin offer reproducible conditions for growing and propagating plants. They consist of 4 separate compartments. Each compartment contains its own climate control and artificial lighting with LED growth lamps (natural sunlight, Valoya). They don't get any daylight. The plants can be placed on ebb-flow tables with automatic watering or on racks. The following standard conditions are offered:

  • Arabidopsis: T = 21°C, RH = 60%, day/night light regime = 16/8
  • Tobacco/tomatoes: T = 24.5°C, RH = 75%, day/night light regime = 16/8
  • Rice (used for Mg infection experiments): T = 28°C, RH = 75%, day/night light regime = 12/12
  • Rice: T = 28°C, RH = 75%, day/night light regime = 12/12

The four compartments are accessible via a laboratory where further operations on the plants and seeds are possible.
