Description

The JEOL JEM 1010 is a 100 kV transmission electron microscope (TEM) designed for ultrastructural studies in biological samples. It features a 2k x 2k side-mounted Veleta CCD camera and uses a tungsten filament as the electron source. This instrument excels in imaging ultrathin sections of biological material prepared through resin embedding and ultrathin sectioning, enabling detailed cellular analysis. Additionally, viruses and bacteria can be effectively visualized using negative staining techniques.

The JEM 1010 is a user-friendly and reliable microscope, requiring only minimal training, making it ideal for both researchers and students.

The TEM is located on campus Ledeganck, building L2, K.L. Ledeganckstraat 35, 9000 Gent.
