GIfMI, or Ghent Institute for Functional and Metabolic Imaging, is a core facility at Ghent University, Belgium, focused on open access MR imaging research.
GIfMI is committed to fostering cross-disciplinary research in the field of magnetic resonance imaging. We encourage science & engineering researchers and industrial partners to collaborate with experts in psychology, biomedical sciences, and medicine to explore new frontiers in imaging applications.
The expertise of GIfMI allows for tailored services for academic and industrial partners. The operational team, with its broad expertise, is committed to achieving the highest standards through close collaboration.
GIFMI houses a 3T MRI scanner and is equipped with peripheral devices to offer a wide range of applications, such as structural MRI, functional MRI (fMRI), quantitative MRI (qMRI), Arterial Spin Labelling (ASL), Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI), MR elastography (MRE), physiological monitoring and many more.
