Description

The S.O.S. Antwerp database includes detailed information of the causes of death in the city of Antwerp from 1820 to 1946. For each person who died in the city during this period, both the cause of death and personal data from death certificates were compiled, including name, gender, marital status, occupation, age, place of birth, and address. Additionally, information is available on parents, doctors, hospitals, and burial sites. In total, the database provides information on 480,000 individuals and 73 variables.
