The JEM-1400Plus is a transmission electron microscope (TEM) developed for application in a wide range of disciplines, from biology to materials researches, such as biological sections, polymers, nanomaterials and …. New environment is optimized for ease-of -use TEM operations with followings.
The JEM-1400 transmission electron microscope (TEM) uses a LaB6 filament electron gun with acceleration up to 120kV and a resolution down to 0.38nm. Equipped with a CCD camera, it is designed for achieving high resolution images across the entire observation image.
The instrument allows the study of the cellular ultrastructure of biological material in ultrathin sections (obtained after sample preparation, embedding in resin and ultrathin sectioning). Viruses and bacteria can be studied by negative staining. The JEM 1400 has a great advantage in research and development and is, with little training, suitable for scientists and students.
The TEM is located on the Merelbeke campus, building 78, Salisburylaan 133, 9820 Merelbeke.
