Bio
Louise D'Eer (°1994) is a postdoctoral researcher at the End-of-Life Care Research Group at Ghent University. Her PhD focused on the development and evaluation of ‘Compassionate Communities’ in Flanders — neighbourhoods where people support one another in times of serious illness, dying, loss, and grief. Her broader expertise lies in evaluating complex social programmes, with a particular focus on combining process and outcome evaluation and applying innovative methods to capture social change. She is currently applying this expertise in a research project that monitors and evaluates the ongoing reform of palliative care in Flanders, in close collaboration with the Department of Care.
