Bio
I graduated in 2020 from Ghent Univeristy with a Master in Experimental Psychology. During my studies, I did a 6 month internship at King’s College London. Both during my internship and for my master thesis I carried out autism research. After my studies, I worked at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel for a year, doing research on the impact of Covid and lockdowns on mental health. I was also part of the superior health council Covid and mental health working group. Currently I am a PhD candidate doing research on the double empathy problem in autism. More specifically, I want to research whether individuals with autism are better able to communicate with other individuals with autism compared to individuals with no autism. To research this, I used a large questionnaire study and multiple ecologically valid behavrioarl studies.
